Meaning of Ohauiti/Definition of Ohauiti

I live in Ohauiti, Tauranga, NZ. One internet post says Ohauiti means 'last breath'. Another say 'light winds'. I am sure a person's last breath will be a very light wind.

Whilst I am not sure which definition is correct, I am sure ones last breath won't be the end of ones existence.

Jesus said in John 5:28-29, "Do not marvel at this: for the hour is coming in which all who in the grave will hear His voice and come forth - those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation".

Jesus' last breaths were truly honourable. He died with dignity, and He fully paid the price for our redemption. He asked for forgiveness for those who killed Him and committed His spirit to God (entrusting His life to His Father).

May your Ohauiti (last breath) be faithfully committed to the God who raises the dead, so that you will come up in the resurrection to life..

Abundance of Avocados in Ohauiti

At this time of the year where I live, there is an abundance of avocados in Ohauiti reserve. Today with the high winds many are dropping. Normally they are not easy to get. You either need to be a good tree climber or have a long pole or stick with a hook or cutting device. I thank God for the strong winds today.

I am reminded of the power of the Holy Spirit which came at Pentecost with the sound of a mighty rushing wind. The Holy Spirit also brings abundance into our lives. When we a born again of the Spirit the abundance of the kingdom of God is ours.

Jesus indeed said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

Some feel if they have reached 90 they have had a long life and that they are too old to consider the abundant life promised by Christ. However, for a person at such an age with little time remaining who has not been born of the Holy Spirit, the truth is they are 'too old not to learn'.

Time is short. Please share this with one old person you know. My prayer is they will truly experience a long rich life - eternal life with Christ.

Praise post

We give praise to God that He has allowed us to quickly purchase a house in Tauranga (no mean feat) which we should be in by about the 23rd of July.

Tauranga has a serious homelessness problem and the weather has now turned cold. Please pray the government here can take the appropriate measures and that we can all do our bit through the love of Christ.
